PART 3: The Nectar of Devotion—Kṛṣṇa Consciousness is All-Auspicious

• Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī defines auspiciousness as welfare activities for all people.
• Modern welfare activities are limited to societal, national, or communal concerns.
• The United Nations attempts global welfare but fails due to limited national interests.
• The Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement offers the highest benefit to all of humanity.
• Scholars, including Rūpa Gosvāmī, recognize devotional service as the highest humanitarian welfare.
2. Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Benefits the Entire World
• Padma Purāṇa states that one engaged in devotional service benefits the whole world.
• Such a devotee pleases not only humans but also animals and nature.
• Example: Lord Caitanya’s saṅkīrtana movement in Jhārikhaṇḍa, where animals like tigers, elephants, and deer chanted and danced in ecstasy.
3. Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Develops Divine Qualities
• Śukadeva Gosvāmī (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 5.18.12) states that unflinching faith in Kṛṣṇa develops all the good qualities of the demigods.
• Even demigods wish to associate with such a devotee.
• A person lacking Kṛṣṇa consciousness has no true good qualities, even if highly educated.
4. Material Education vs. Spiritual Purity
• Material education without Kṛṣṇa consciousness leads to impurity and base behavior.
• Many highly educated individuals fail to adopt pure principles like:
• Giving up meat-eating, intoxication, gambling, and illicit sex.
• Example: Even a young devotee without university education can easily give up these vices.
5. Practical Proof of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness
• A Kṛṣṇa conscious person naturally avoids distractions like:
• Cinemas, nightclubs, alcohol, and illicit entertainment.
• They save valuable time instead of wasting it on materialistic activities.
• Contrast with so-called yogīs:
• Meditation without Kṛṣṇa consciousness is temporary.
• After meditation, they often return to material indulgences.
6. The Ultimate Conclusion
• Kṛṣṇa consciousness automatically purifies character without artificial effort.
• A pure devotee naturally develops the highest character.
• Without Kṛṣṇa consciousness, no one can truly have good qualities.
