1. Why Does Kṛṣṇa Favor Devotees? (SB 7.1)
• Question: If Kṛṣṇa is equal to all, why does He protect devotees?
• Answer: He is like the sun—shining equally, but only those who turn to Him receive the light.

Key Verse:

“samau hi viṣṇuḥ suhṛdaṁ samaṁ bhūtānām” (SB 7.1.23)
“Viṣṇu is equal to all, but He reciprocates based on surrender.”

Lesson:
• Kṛṣṇa doesn’t discriminate but responds to devotion.

2. The Fall of Hiraṇyakaśipu (SB 7.2-7.5)
• Gained boons from Brahmā—almost immortal.
• Declared himself God, ruling with cruelty.
• Hated Viṣṇu, as He had killed his brother Hiraṇyākṣa.
• Tried to kill Prahlāda for chanting Kṛṣṇa’s name.

Lesson:
• Material power leads to pride, which leads to destruction.

3. Prahlāda’s Fearless Devotion (SB 7.6-7.7)
• Taught bhakti to his demon schoolmates:
• “Start devotional service from childhood!”
• Hiraṇyakaśipu’s punishments:
• Poison, weapons, fire—but Kṛṣṇa always protected Prahlāda.
• Prahlāda remained fearless, absorbed in Kṛṣṇa’s name.

Key Lesson:
• Real strength is in surrendering to Kṛṣṇa.

4. The Appearance of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva (SB 7.8-7.9)
• Hiraṇyakaśipu challenged Prahlāda:
• “Where is your God?”
• Viṣṇu appeared from a pillar—half-man, half-lion!
• Lord Nṛsiṁha destroyed Hiraṇyakaśipu, fulfilling Brahmā’s boon.

Lesson:
• Kṛṣṇa’s will cannot be defeated.

5. Prahlāda’s Prayers & Ultimate Devotion (SB 7.9-7.10)
• Prahlāda pacifies Nṛsiṁhadeva.
• His wish? Not material wealth—only devotion.
• Kṛṣṇa’s gift:
• Hiraṇyakaśipu’s sins were forgiven.
• Prahlāda ruled with pure devotion.

Lesson:
• Bhakti is the highest goal.

6. The Ideal Society – Varṇāśrama Dharma (SB 7.11-7.15)

Key Teaching:
• Life should be structured toward Kṛṣṇa.

7. How to Overcome Māyā – The Path to Liberation (SB 7.15)
• Material happiness is temporary.
• Only bhakti can break the cycle of birth & death.

Lesson:
• Chant Kṛṣṇa’s name & hear Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam daily.

Final Takeaways from Canto 7
1. Kṛṣṇa is Equal to All, But Devotion Attracts His Mercy.
2. Prahlāda’s Story Teaches Fearlessness in Bhakti.
3. Material Power Fails—Only Bhakti is Permanent.
4. Society Should Be Centered on Kṛṣṇa.
5. Overcome Māyā by Hearing, Chanting, and Surrendering to Kṛṣṇa.
